Let's celebrate some good points about our jobs (apart from the salaries). I am curious what perks you have...

I'll start--at my job we get free soda & coffee (all we want), which I think is kind of nice and saves $$ for sure. Also no one sits around staring at the clock if you are in one second late or back from lunch 5 minutes past your time. (it's nice to be treated like an adult, not a time clock jockey). We also have some other perks but I would rather not list them right now.

Free coffee.

Covered parking.

I have a laid back boss. As long as I'm showing results, he seems to be good.

Flex schedule. I work 7-4. They used to schedule meetings from 4-5 but they've adjusted them for me.

40% company discount.

Multiple award and recognition treats. Lunch once a month, birthday treats once a month. Team building activities that are actually fun.

Holiday boxes for Halloween, Christmas and Easter. I don't know what's in them yet but they're supposed to be really good.

Family fun activities. They rented out a local pumpkin patch last month and each member of my family got a plastic water bottle, lunch, a pumpkin and a $10 gift card to the patch for treats.

$1000 in an HRA.

3% 401k match after a year. My previous company didn't do this.

Numerous volunteer opportunities and community support. They sponsor a monthly classroom of the month.

Christmas shopping event where they open up the warehouse and give everyone a $50 gift card. It's possible to get another $50 by donating food to the food bank.

Halloween party and costume contest. The CEO performs a song. Employees actually look forward to it.

15 days of vacation and competitive pay. Benefits aren't good or bad compared to others in the area.

It's also 10 minutes from my home so I can go home for lunch.

I've only been there 4 months but so far I'm impressed.

Oh and a casual environment. No yoga pants but jeans and appropriate shorts are fine.

All good stuff but what is salary, bonus and medical plan costs?

The 401K match is pretty skimpy. My company does 100% match on first 6% of salary (bonus plus base). A lot of companies only do match on base. You lose a lot that way.

Free coffee, Tea, Hot Cocoa

Sign in for time, (Some day shift come in 15 min late (They stay to make it up though) sign out for lunch and at end of day. (I usually sign in and then finish it all when leaving)

Lead will "Ignore" you leaving the area (off premises) on the clock (For a good reason)

Birthday celebrations, promotions party, referral bonus.

There's 3 carts where the "Other" agency places "Out of date items" and they don't care WHO takes it, but that they TAKE it. Got a couple of interesting books and some large white thick cardstock.

401K match to 6% after five years.

10 paid days off a year, 6 days paid sick 2 weeks vac three weeks after 3...(This may change to ALL PTO)

Free medical BC/BS but it's a HDHP and I already have that, might be nicer to have 2, but debate that.

Casual dress, no ties and such, but no jeans (Unless black, go figure that one!)

Free coffee and tea, great waterfront location, free parking in a secure garage, and paid public transit system card, discounts at various places including 18% off personal cell phone charges, paid life insurance for twice annual salary, pension plus 457 and 401k, business casual with casual Friday, 5 weeks vacation, good work-life balance.

I didn't mention salary and all that because the thread title says besides pay. but pay is solid. I'm in a low cost of living area but for my role, I'm 1/3 higher than the top of my role's range. Benefits are comparable to other companies in the area (no better, no worse) and my bonus is a part of my comp package at 4%. Considering my role (non managerial and honestly the easiest job I've very had) it's quite good. I won't be eligible for the match until next June and haven't been there for a full comp cycle but yearly raises are the norm too.

I do get that the 401k match isn't stellar but it's an improvement of the last company I worked for that gave stock that didn't vest for 4 years (and lost value every year so it was nearly worthless) instead of the match. I left there when I realized it was never coming back. I was a part of the team that was supposed to sell it to the other 20k employees and couldn't do it.

Every Friday in the summer the office closes at 2. That's an incredible perk for me.

One job I held for a much longer time than I would have ever predicted, had just one perk: There was a subsidized soda-pop machine in the hallway, just outside our office door. It charged only half of what was the going price outside the building. But all the flavors, Coke, Dr. Pepper, Tab & Fresca, were the caffeine-added variety.

free coffee, jeans on fridays, summer fridays from memorial day to labor day (get to leave at 330 compared to 5/530)... but sometimes on fridays all year people tend to leave by 4 anyway. annual profit sharing contribution, 401k... that's about it.

would trade it all for the perk of a flexible schedule and working from home on occasion.
