I thought the point of unlimited vacation was to take off when there is downtime rather than sitting there doing nothing just to be in the office. I think unlimited vacation would work great in an office where theres a ton of work for a few weeks and then maybe a small stretch of time where theres no work. So you work really hard then get to take off to relax. At least thats what makes sense to me, but not sure how it really works.

Talk to my boss like 20 mins every few months, never really see them in person.
We get along well.

Company vehicle and free gas, they are fine if you use it for personal reasons, even vacations.

Freedom, As long as Im under budget, the crew works safe and we meet deadlines everyone is happy. It's a headache some jobs but most go well.

I get to travel and live all over North and South American (Used to perk, now It's the reason I want a new career!)
