That must have been gruesome.

The forklifts just don't stop and bones are so weak compared to it...

I got to drive a forklift back when I was putting myself through college. Not to toot my own horn, but I got to be pretty good at what I was doing.

We have a warehouse at my current facility where i work now (different career) and i wanted to take the forklift for a spin for old times sakes. Nope. Can't touch it now without various levels of training.

As someone who has employed hundreds of entry level type people you are expecting a lot. Should not be that way but it is. There is a reason why entry level people stay entry level people.

I think I am off to a GREAT start there.

They were impressed with my experience, and, so far, my perfomance!!!

You're driving a stand up, nice!

I used to work with a guy who was a real go-getter. He was an apprentice and he wasn't afraid to run or learn to run any machine in the shop. He had plenty of experience on the stand up hi-lo as well. One day he was in Home Depot and needed to get something off the upper shelves. He walked around trying to find someone to help him to no avail. What he *did* find was a hi-lo with the key in it. He hopped up on it and brought down the pallet up on the shelf. Meanwhile, the workers saw him and ran over.

Them: "Sir, stop right there. This is not safe. You must get off of there immediately!"

Him: "You guys were nowhere to be found so I'll do it myself. Just let me get this pallet on the floor and I'll get my stuff and get outta here."

Good old John.

Don't behave like the forklift drivers in the YouTube videos.

It was crazy, but it involved a TSP backing into an SP that was 30 feet in the air. Person crashed down onto concrete from 30 feet, on Thanksgiving day no less
