There's no, "being away from it all." You either got the city, and all the negatives that come with it, or you don't. Well my job is up in the air now. People call Roses and say, "Gee, think yall'll go out of buisness?" Well, duh. I remain fully against this coming to Weaverville. I've lived here all my life, and although I do believe in pro-economy type things, this will further support a monopoly, (Wal-mart,) and once again run off the smaller buisnesses. But, whatever. Ill just go work at Lowes, I guess, when Roses goes under.
prove it then, look @ all of the small towns around here that have walmart. Do you see many small businesses in those towns that left because of WALMART??? of course NOT!!! Next time before you bash a business like walmart go to a small town with a walmart and ask if they have hurt them.
Thats a really nice walmart, FWIW.. Im all about supporting the little guy, but when the little guy is closed 3 days a week, and only open til 5p when they ARE open, I'll take my business where I can give it.
Wait, did a Rose's open up in the center!? Or are you saying you hope they can weather the Walmart... I hope so, too. The only Rose's close to me these days was in Morristown, TN, and it closed, too.
No jabogitlu the Roses is in a shopping center not too far away from the Weaverville Walmart. There is a chinese restaurant there too (near the Roses).
