It seems the so-called ""August winds"" have come early this year.

Hunter weather - district weather forecast
The weather here also feels very much like spring weather , with wind, rapid changes, and constantly changing snow levels.

Not happy to find the Ski area was closed (after an hours drive) due to control work. Will check the ski report myself next time instead of leaving it to others. Had to content myself with the new Harry Potter movie instead.

The average maximum temperature for July 2011 in Buxton will be down to 17°C / 62°F if the latest model outputs 6 day run verifies. That would make this possibly the coldest July since 2007.

Global warming. Everywhere, but England in summer, naturally.

I am very concerned about the brutal cold snap that's set to arrive on thursday. The extended forecast shows more than a week of highs below 10 C / 50 F with constant overcast skies and drizzle. It might even snow!

Beginning to get mildly annoyed with summer. Too hot, humid, and sunny. No relief in sight.

Sounds like a beautiful late fall day around here.

It's very unusual, actually. Tomorrow has a forecasted high of only 6 C -- the average is 11 C. It's rare for the highs to get below 8 or 9 C here -- the one saving grace of our winter climate. The next week shows similar conditions with sub-zero lows. That means most of the day will be barely above freezing. And with the overcast conditions, drizzle and strong winds it feels much colder.

Oh well, after this is over it can only get better (hopefully). I'm halfway through winter now and still alive!

Doesn't sound that much below average.

Yesterday here it only reached 12.7°C vs. an average of 18°C. That's also from a place with a maritime climate and generally small temp variation.

The weather in the Chicago area is depressing.

Today= 93 F (33 C) with a heat index of 100 F (38 C);
Tomorrow=98 F (37 C) with a heat index of 105 F (41 C);
Thursday= 99 F (37 C) with a heat index of 108 F (42 C);*
Friday= 94 F (33 C) with a heat index of 100 F (38 C);
Saturday= 93 F (33 C) with a heat index of 100 F (38 C);
Sunday= 93 F (33 C) with a heat index of 100 F (38 C).

Six months from Thursday (1/21/11 or for you non-Americans 21/1/11) we had wind chills as cold as -30 F (-34 C). The low for that day was -4 F (-20 C). You have got to love the midwest weather.

Whoops, in my weather records spreadsheet I accidentally put the rainfall amount into the "sunshine hours" column and wondered why my data seemed to show it being much sunnier than it has been.
