Lucky you. I was reading that it has happened in the north of the uk before that we have not had 20c in a single year. Oh my goodness i'd be ready to die if that didn't happen.
Imagine if it was in the mid-teens every single day of the summer. Its those 23c days that keep my alive. LOL
That POS car won't start probly due to this pathetic cold weather. So unless it gets fixed today my travels arrangements are f//ked and lots of people will be angry.
is your a car a diesel? I've heard other British stories about cold weather trouble. Wonder why you have trouble when we don't so much. Unless your battery is near the end of its lifetime.

For three months and two weeks last year, we didn't get a single day with a max of 20°C. As in 20°C or below.

No it runs on gasoline/petrol but the battery was a weak POS that bit the dust after a few recent problems.

My car wouldn't start just before going on a 5 hour road trip in January. I was told that my car battery needed replacement 2 years ago and was too cheap to bother. No problems afterward. Then that January just after the first cold spell, the battery was too weak to start the car. Wasted a few hours, but at least I got my money's worth out of the battery.

I don't think car problems here are cold related. The cars we drive are either European or Japanese generally, I think it's a case of bad luck a lot of the time.
I tend to stick with German manufacturers now, they certainly know how to build a car!
The car I drive is generally very reliable. It's a 2003 model and had no problems at all apart from this battery issue recently. It's a Honda and they are the most reliable brand in the UK. All the German cars are much worse down the rankings.
Ahh I love Honda's, I had a Civic and it was brilliant! It was so old and pretty crap but I never had a problem with it, it just ran and ran!
I've never owned a BMW so I'm not too sure. Since my Civic I've had a Volkswagen and a couple of Audi's. I love big Audi's, they are just very expensive to run though, servicing etc.
My car is a 1999 Ford station wagon and the thing is impossible to kill. It has 260,000km on the clock. The engine runs like new, hasn't leaked a single drop of oil or coolant since last service 8 months ago, never broke down on me and always starts without issues. Last year I went overseas for a month and the car hasn't been touched in that time, it started instantly.
