I wish I could say I've been to more airports so I could compare them. I've only been to the Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, and Toronto airports. I remember Fort Lauderdale being pretty nice.

At last count, I've been to Newark, Baltimore, Harrisburg, St. Louis, Orlando International, Atlanta, Allentown, and San Juan (airport is actually in Carolina's city limits, my hometown), Toronto, Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, and Leipzig-Halle. Toronto is really nice, but it's a maze to navigate around. Gatwick and Heathrow left me unimpressed and underwhelmed and thought Stansted was nicer.
I liked the train in Seattle's airport. Detroit was just very nice, but I had to run across it to catch a connecting flight. Come to think of it, Detroit was my first major airport I'd been in by myself. A little nerve wracking, but I survived and made it through three airports afterwards.
Philadelphia was meh, but the staff there was helpful.
The airport that has the worst, most rude, arrogant & intimidating security staff & passport control has to be LAX. Everyone is treated as if you are a member of Al Qaeda! Awful...

The american airports are extremely easy to navigate. I think I could go to america myself and travel right across to be honest. My mum is a big ***** though and has a heartatake worrying every-time we go on holidays. I remember when we went to america she nearly had a nervous breakdown to the point that she was ready to cancel the holiday. It gets so annoying, like ,for example, if the sign shows which gate we have to go to she will still go and ask someone where to go.

So I have been to 18 airports so far in my life. Not that many but good enough for someone my age. It will probably rise dramatically by next year or when i'm a wee bit older as i'm gonna do loads of travelling on planes through millages things like they do on airliners.net.
Hehe, JFK was number one! I can't remember which terminal I flew from when I went through there, but my flight was delayed, so I had an extra three hours to sample some wonderfully authentic local "Don't come bothering me 'cos I don't give a ****" New York charm
People complain a lot about Heathrow, but I've actually never been there so can't say what it's like. The best airport experience I've ever had was at Oslo Sandefjord. My flight from there was really early in the morning, so rather than pay for an extra night's accommodation I thought I'd just get there really late the night before and if possible sleep a little bit at the airport - when I got there it turned out they had a special room full of mattresses set aside for people to sleep on free of charge, and I got there just in time to grab the last one

Does she travel a lot?
This was my first time traveling alone, so naturally I was very nervous. I got nervous in Los Angeles because I had to walk outside to get to another terminal. But now I can say I've been in California. I even touched a palm.
This past January I traveled from Newburgh, NY to Detroit, Detroit to Seattle, and Seattle to Vancouver. Then I bought a last minute plane ticket and flew from Vancouver to Kelowna during a snowstorm. Going home I flew from Kelowna to Vancouver to catch my flights home. I flew from Vancouver to Los Angeles, then Los Angeles to Philadelphia. I was supposed to fly from Philadelphia to Newburgh, NY but it got cancelled and I had to deal with JFK. JFK was a nightmare. I had a shuttle pick me up and drive me home. Needless to say it was one of the most adventurous weeks of my life...until four months later when I hopped on a plane to Europe. In May I flew from Newark to Amsterdam. Kind of long, but a nice easy direct flight.
