Just got back home from Amsterdam. Hard to believe I woke up there this morning and here I am now back in Nowheresville, USA lol. Europe was never really on my radar as far as travel goes. I did plan on visiting eventually, but this trip was a spur of the moment decision with a friend of mine and I'm so glad I went. It was the best week of my entire life. Amsterdam was such a lively, somewhat chaotic, but surprisingly functional city. Dutch is a very difficult language, but I'm going to try to learn some of it since I plan on going back there. I was in Amsterdam, Delft, The Hague, and some place with the windmills and wooden clogs. Can't remember the name of it. It was cold, windy, and cloudy most of the time with a few days of rain and some sunshine interspersed. I had trouble getting used to the brightness at 9PM. We were so thrown off that we ended up missing dinner for several nights and had to eat fast food lol.
Nice! I like taking weekend trips to the Netherlands. The weather western Europe got lately couldn't have been better for you.

Kinderdijk, near Rotterdam? Though probably not as it doesn't look very practical to go there if you don't have a car.
