I went outside to get the kids on the bus at 7:15 this morning and thought it might be chilly. It was dark, overcast, and raining. But it was very warm. The temp was only around 69 but the dewpoint was in the mid to upper 60s. Rain has ended here in Indianapolis for now but a lot more is on the way tomorrow. Another 1-3 inches of rainfall possible by Wednesday morning before highs only in the low 60s for the 2nd half of the week and lows down into the 40s! It's going to be a perfect fall weekend, though. Lots of sunshine. Highs around 70 and lows near 50.

Really enjoying these days of cloudy drizzle. Keeping the temps a little lower too, AC working a little less hard.

Spying some lower night time temps on the horizon (60's - don't get too excited).

A front will get close but don't expect jack. It will get stuck 50 miles north of me. Just way too early for anything real this time of year minus that freak 500 year event back in Sept 17th and 18th in 1980 when it got to 62f and 58f in Tampa. I think that was the dates.

Been stuck in a west flow for weeks and one day of a southeast flow Tuse and back to a west flow the rest of the week. You get much cooler than i do since i am 500 ft from the gulf.

Oh Baby!! Finally!

Check out the dewpoints from this morning until Friday!! Everything pushing eastbound then it starts dropping SOUTHWARD because the Atlantic Ridge is strong and slows the eastward progress, then finally the front pushes east and the dry air comes to the east coast for the weekend

This is the Upper Low (my favorite feature) that drops south on Wednesday-Thursday

Lots of rain and fall like weather coming to Indianapolis. After a high in the 70s today, tonight will drop into the mid-50s and tomorrow won't move much if at all. 2-4 inches of rain expected starting this afternoon and lasting until tomorrow night. Tomorrow will be rainy, breezy, and highs only in the mid-50s. If tomorrow's high of 56F stays true, it'd be the coolest day since May 9.

This trough over the Midwest/East won't be hanging around long according to the Euro. Seems as if the pattern will revert back to a pretty stout ridge over the eastern part of North American at least through mid October
