This is pathetic. No snow for my region. Nothing. Zero.

Snow shovels at the ready. Watch for shifty winds to change course. I'm going to keep staples of food in house but it's not like we live in the boondocks or high on a mountain top. I've visited those areas close by and at te time we had an all wheel drive Honda Eleement and fairly good weather. Wasn't sure we were going to make it up. I'd feel for the people at the top if they had a need for an emergency vehicle. We shall see come Wed pm into Thurs AM.

Mon am - raining.

I have a hill as part of my driveway to get to my house, and after just an inch of snow on the ground, a family member was coming in a 17' toyota highlander and couldn't get up the hill. It's front wheel drive but it was surprising to me that it couldn't make it. We own all 4x4 vehicles.

I'll be making a snowman in your honor when I go to the mountains later this week, George. I'll top him off with a bears beanie and a puffy jacket to give him that authentic Chicago look, too.

Major snowstorm for the NE. Models still not agreeing where the heaviest snow will set up. Euro says coast, NAM says interior. Either way, cold and snow on tap for me

We picked up .72 of rain overnight through 7am, then about another .20 before it turned over to snow. It is snowing big flakes right now, but it will likely go back to all rain again.

Hoping that Wednesday plays out the way the forecast is showing.

We missed snow over the weekend that stayed well north and instead we just got rain. And we'll miss most of the snow tomorrow night into Wednesday as most of the system stays south and east. We may get a half inch but that's about it. Still waiting for anything meaningful!
