More heavy rainfall unfortunately being forecast for OK, AR over the next 7 days. Historic flooding occurring along the Arkansas River.
We could use the rainfall over central Louisiana. Ridge should break down the middle of next week here. Mid 90's being forecast the next couple of days...
Before the current warming trend, In 1940 6 of the Top 11 warmest May's came within past 12 yrs.(1928-1940). What happened after that for the next 50 yrs? Not many Top 10s. What is so scary about something that's happened already?? It's called Cyclical.
In fact some of the coldest May's came just 2 decades after that. (1950s). And going further 1950s had a couple Top 10s. Imagine that. Top 10 warmest and Top 10 coldest in the same decade. Amazing

Reason: Added 1950s info
Perhaps if you stopped posting this garbage maybe the Midwest would have the kind of summer you wanted
I'm not superstitious... right now it's a lovely 84F at IKK. Midway hit 80F and ORD hit 79F, but they have dropped to 71F and 67F respectively thanks to a lake breeze that pushed on shore...
Done with spring in Dallas that's for sure. Dew point has been hovering around 70 for a week or so now. But today we have 90 degree temps to go with it. Heat index in the upper 90s.
Worse where I used to live in Houston. 93 + dew point of 72 = feels like 103.
I haven't really been bothered by the heat lately cause I know it's about to get way worse.
Forecast Lows Monday JUNE 3rd. I see some 30s and 40s on the map.
Just think... in 4 short months heating season will be upon us. lmao
I have to give my sister a heads up that it will drop into the 30s. Hopefully farms and plants will be fine. I know Strawberries are growing in the region now.
