It was hot over the weekend, topped 90 both days but at least the humidity was relatively low (dewpoints in the low 60s). So it wasn't oppressive. This week is the tale of two weathers. Tomorrow and tomorrow night we'll get the remnants of Barry with 1-3 inches of rain likely over central Indiana. At least the thick clouds and rain will keep temps in the low 80s for a couple days. Then the heat and humidity really comes. Thursday-Sunday look to be in the low to mid 90s with heat indices in the 105-110F range and dewpoints hovering in the mid-70s. Not going to be fun but at least my lawn could really use the rain tomorrow. I hope it pans out like they say.
Woke up to 66f at 7am, high today is only 70f due to us getting some of the rain on the outer remnants of Barry. This is at least keep our temps down during what probably would've been very hot temps. Looking at the long term forecast, we only have a few days that are above normal.
..... Just trying to get through July and countdown to Fall.
A new all-time maximum temperature record for Alert, the northernmost weather station in Canada (and in the world for that matter) at 20.5°C. Previous record was 20.0°C from 1956.

Except I should just add that the maximum temperature actually ended up being 21.0°C so that's the new record.
