Not bad for accuweather's projected high of 57 today for Seattle!
We got a surprise 3 inches in eastern Centre County, 20 miles east of State College, PA. A band set up last evening and then a 2nd band formed overnight.
Is the sun setting before 5:00-6:00 pm? Is the UV index less than 3 when clear outside at solar noon? If none of those conditions are met it's not meteorological winter.... It annoys me when people call days that the UV index is above 4-5 at above 40°N and when the sun sets after 7:00 pm local time winter because some days might be cold and snowy.
Of course it’s not meteorological winter anymore, it’s speing but when you have 3 weeks with 5-6” of snow on the ground and January like temps with 1 day above 40, that is winter weather. Got it? It’s technically spring but the weather resembles January much more than March so it doesn’t feel anything like spring, it feels like winter. Just like December 2015 was technically a winter month, but was warmer than the average November and just felt like an extension of fall.

To say December of 2015 was exceptionally warm is an understatement... Yes I know it may feel like winter to you but you do realize that the sun is setting after 7:00 where you are. You would think with the rant you went on that the sun was setting before 5:00...
