The highs and lows every day from 6-13 December at my location have all been in my purple range, 15-31 (-9 to -1). The last time we were above freezing was in the early morning hours of Tuesday 5 December; the high that day was 49 (9) at midnight going into the day, and it just dropped from there. It is currently 7 (-14), which breaks up the sea of purple AND is by 5*F (3*C) the coldest temperature recorded so far this season.
Our old seasonal low was 12 (-11) on Friday 10 November, which was also our first ice day, with a high of just 29 (-2).
