Yep, some areas certainly got a dousing.

Not a drop here though, with no rain in two weeks- just starting to spit now though.

Hope this pattern doesn't last.

I've seen snow in Queenstown days ago, the storm didn't affected you?

Metsul is now saying that there are a chance of freezing rain/snow in parts of the Brazil/Uruguay frontier.
Rivera right on the frontier already reported light freezing rain in it last synop
Temperature are falling quickly in the South Cone, very cold lows are expected next morning.

A rare snowfall in the Chilean capital Santiago has caused disruption and blackouts, leaving thousands of residents shivering in the dark.
About 250,000 people were hit by power cuts, officials said, mostly caused by snow-laden trees falling on cables.
One death was reported - of a worker trying to clear ice - and two other people were injured by a fallen power line, Chilean media said.
Meteorologists say it was the heaviest snowfall in Santiago since 2007.
It came as the city and surrounding region were enduring an unusually cold snap.
As well as the power cuts, the weather has caused traffic disruption in the capital and several sporting fixtures have been postponed.
The big freeze was not bad news for everyone, however, and thousands of children headed outdoors to build snowmen and throw snowballs.
Forecasters say lighter amounts of snow are still expected to fall.

Heaviest snow in Santiago for 10 years! The snow looks impressive, too.

Max and mins in the SMN's stations today. Bariloche was the obvious highlight. Here we had the first max below 10ºC in three years. Finally the "drought" is over!

---

I post some photos of the snowfalls. These one are from Sierra de la Ventana, the highlands of southwestern BA province, and from Tafí del Valle, in the northwest.

Nope. This area is generally protected from SE weather. A dry cold day though, with peculiar skies.

Sorry but I can't help being skeptic. How is it possible that Esquel registered -10.8, Maquinchao -12 and Bariloche -25.4?

It makes no sense at all.
