I don't remember this one. 16 yrs ago tomorrow.

Here was the setup.. Jet Stream dug down in the East. Cold Upper Low came from Canada and produced the cold air, while a storm from the Gulf became a coastal storm off Northeast coast which was slow to leave.

I'd be afraid of early warmth if I lived in the South. It isn't as big of an issue here since our averages are cooler, which translates to a later "spring", also our average last freeze occurs in late March, which is typical of the mid South. Basically, our window for freeze damage is quite a bit smaller than it is for most of the South.
Average last freeze in central Indiana is mid to late April; but much of central Indiana has recorded lows at or below the freezing mark well into the month of Mayby the way, certain shrubs and flowers and trees are already budding here, and some shrubs are beginning to leaf out, and this has been the case here since late February, thankfully the cold weather of the last few days should slow everything down in terms of growth here

Dont let a couple of small specs on the radar fool you. Some are packing a punch with thunder, intense snow rates, and low visibility. Piles ups in PA. Now I see some squalls in CT

Nice when I see something that confirms what I said. And nice when a squall goes over where there is a station. Dark Blue Icons = Very Heavy snow falling

. Check out the OBS sheets. Feels like what there in Pittsfield, MA??
