Hard to believe 2 years ago at this point we were getting 17" of snow.

Mostly Sunny here, just had flurries , not sure which cloud it was from. lol

woke up to a thin layer of very powdery snow; one of the snow squalls finally hit us. Could definitely could feel the cold this morning. Wasn't as biting as I expected. Sun was a lot higher at 9 am than it would be in early January. Some of the snow on the windshield had melted a bit and was slushy. Sun melting a bit even at 15°F? Obviously car is warmer, but it's still cold.

so next weekend will either be spring or winter...

I should take a ride to the beach. It's in the single digits or colder at 850mb (5000') from Virginia beach latitude northwards over the Atlantic Ocean and its causing Ocean Effect clouds.


Incredible view from Satellite. Also known as cloud streets.
