How about below freezing? Because it was below freezing today. That said the forecast looks sweet as a pumpkin pie for next week, and by the middle of the month the temperatures will start rocketing upwards

Left the house a few hours ago in Norwich and it was snowing as hard as I've seen (only the second time really) since 2013. Didn't stick though.

Can't wait for the more seasonal weather next week if the forecast is correct.. March can be very nice here but it's started off on a bad note.
No snow here, it's just been cold. Yesterday was 7c with a mix of sun and showers, today will be sunny and 9c. We won't get normal temps in double figures for another 6 days!

Meanwhile Monroe will have 10°C+ highs after March 7th and will get up to 18°C on Mar 9th.

We will be 12c+ after the 9th, usually record 18c by the last week of the month so we still have a chance of an average month.

I think we will be back to average on Friday and the next week we'll be 12+. There is no snow cover this year, so there is no reason for March to be historically cold like the past two years. Finally I think spring is coming right when it should be

We had 18C this February which is very early... As the graphic below indicates the city usually record 16C+ on March 9th, 21C+ on March 27th and first 27C+ temp on April 21st. I'm a few days earlier on all being further away from Lake Michigan.

2nd snow of the week not the windy affair Tuesday

We'll be nearly 25F above normal next week. Today we have a little bit of snow.

EC has the bullseye in the 6-10 day over NYC and Boston.... Get the shorts out We'll be under the nose of a jet so we may see some thunderstorm action in that period.

11-15 day at 850mb center of positive anomaly movers into Upper Midwest

I see 60s in the forecast next week, average date for the first 60 is March 12 so we could be right on time this year! If it hits 65 then we would be wayyy ahead of schedule

Chicago/MDW averages 6 days of 16C+ temps in March. Most being 21 in 2012, least being zero.

In April we average 6 days of 21C+ temps. Most being 15 in 1955, least being 1 in 1995.

In May we average 7 days of 27C+ temps. Most being 20 in 1977. Least being zero in 1983.

BAAMM! Monster amplification of upper level jet to drive exceptional warmth into Midwest/Northeast next week

The South and Southern Midwest will see a flow of Gulf Moisture in the coming days. Doesn't help us here as ground is still frozen.
