I don't really like it, but I like most of the constructions going on in London at the moment. Shard looks excellent.. just need to get rid of those horrible 60s/70s concrete slabs that are scattered about the city
I'd like to see a couple of reasonable skyscrapers here in York, but due to the limitations of the low rise skyline(100 feet I think), they'll sadly likely never happen. I suppose it's nice that they're protecting the unique skyline with these rules, but I think a mix of something big and old like York Minster and a modern high rise, would look cool.
I love the Shard. It's an awesome looking building. One of my good friends was one of the engineers in charge of the groundworks for the construction of the building too.
