Childish? Nonsense. It is no less significant than any other holiday. All the "christian" holidays are pagan in origin - Halloween, too, is pagan.
I don't really care for Christmas too but it's still more "significant" than Halloween - if you want to compare the two. Xmas at least has public holidays, sales, tons of merry music, and it's celebrated worldwide. Halloween is just some kind of "cosplay"... it is esoteric and horror fans would like it more.
That's just my opinion. I'm not stopping anybody from celebrating it...

He's a clear troll and greatly exaggerates the "warmth" of US South over and over again by using flawed theories and using his own personal bias as well. I think that's reason enough to ban him.
