The fact that it's a state college that's easier to get into than FSU and UF? Also, it's location in Orlando I would assume makes it popular.
I've always found it strange that the 2 big Florida sports schools (at least for football) are located in northern Florida. I guess most of the southern half of the state doesn't care for American college football a whole lot.
It does get a large amount of hate on city data (seriously, check the Orlando forum, so much negativity there), but the fact that the area keeps on rapidly growing says otherwise.

That's because half the state of New York has moved there.

I never understood that. I mean, it's not a city I'd be dying to live in, but I'd rather be there than here.
haha same here, I hope the storms and rain come back so no kids ask for chocolate
Lol, you should just eat the chocolate in front of their eyes and say **** off so you can traumatize them for life and they never come back.

Well, don't forget UM is in South FL. College football is definitely popular around here.

People actually want to live Orlando? Lol
Lol, yeah because a lot of people think of Orlando as just Mickey Mouse and parties.
Orlando overall is actually more crime-ridden than Miami is.
