Just wanted to post here as a reminder when we are in winter...

All those BULLSIT above normal Canadian temp maps people are posting. A 3 month Average and still considered COLD, check out whats coming next week. And it's only October. Yeah... imagine these air masses happening in Dec-Jan or February. Those 3 months or EVEN 1 month temp averages are BS!! Doesn't mean this can happen within. Heads up.

Zagreb is in for an interesting winter. Wet with periods of cold weather; it reminds me of the 2012/2013 winter, the best one in my life

The National Weather Service
The 2015 138-day period without a trace of snow in Caribou was the shortest such period on record for that location.

WOW!! And they had the 3rd longest snowpack of 3" or more.

You can see the snow anomaly in the Rutgers image. Huge snowfall in eastern Canada. Most unusual.

Last and only time (in that record) seems to be in 2009

2009 according to GISS was a very cool October for North America.
