Just got back from a little jaunt in the mountains - man, it was screaming down rain on the way up...lol. Going up the hill was like driving on a river.
Got to see a rain-enhanced waterfall, which was pretty impressive, and after hanging out in a mountain shop on the Appalachian Trail for the rain to let up, we were able to get a hike in, although there was no view due to the clouds. Loved that fresh wet mountain smell though. Just .30 inches of rain here, no surprise for down here in the desert belt. Maybe we'll get lucky and have a real rain one of these days.

Will post a few pics in the photo thread.
Nice, sounds fun. It sounds like a very nice area. Sounds like a nice hike in (late) fall or winter. That's the best time to hike, in my opinion. Not really into summer hiking.

I'm not either, but it's summer, and I don't have a time machine handy...lol.
But it wasn't hot and it wasn't sunny - so that's not too much to complain about.
I'll return to that area in the fall, to see the colors - should be pretty nice.
