Winter Weather Advisory in effect here:

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
6 AM EST TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FREEZING RAIN, SLEET AND SNOW. IT IS IN
EFFECT FROM 600 PM THIS EVENING UNTIL 600 AM TUESDAY.

* HAZARD TYPES...FREEZING RAIN, SLEET AND SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR 2 TO 5 INCHES.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR ONE TENTH TO ONE
QUARTER INCH.

* TIMING...RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN IS FORECAST TO MOVE INTO THE
REGION THIS EVENING. THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO TRANSITION
TO FREEZING RAIN, SLEET AND SNOW FOR LATE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY
BEFORE CHANGING TO ALL SNOW ON MONDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACTS...THE ICE AND SNOW WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN THE
REGION FROM SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT.

* TEMPERATURES...MAINLY IN THE LOWER 30S TONIGHT, AROUND 30 ON
MONDAY AND DROPPING INTO THE 20S ON MONDAY NIGHT.

* VISIBILITY...LESS THAN A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

I have low expectations. Either it could be just a nuisance or a crippling storm (quarter inch of ice is crippling, but I doubt we'll get that much). We'll see.

Future loop. Just stare at MA and southern VT. Looks like snow constantly till Monday night. Gees.

Current temps and radar...

Everything moving West to East so you can see the bulk of it is NY to MA

Boston streets are a mess. Cars still buried in Snow and they got over a foot coming???? Schools are maxed out with closings. They can't have kids in school in July so they will have to start cutting holidays or vacations or have kids go to school on weekend to make up the days lost. Wow!

Latest NWS Snow Total Forecast maps. 14-24" for Boston Metro. Been snowing there for 5hrs & should continue for next 36hrs. Wow!

Nice snowstorm for CT as well.

Once again I have to deal with a sloppy icy mess instead a real snow storm. Lame.

We're working on foot number 5 here and commute times have doubled or tripled. Too bad we can't just give you this storm instead.

We've had light steady snow since last night. I thought it would stop in the afternoon but it never really did.

My wife said it's like "living in a snow globe".
