SPC got a Meso discussion out. 560 dam up to Michigan. Nice pop there. Strong storm over ND dropping snow in some areas. Snowing in southern Minnesota again.

From 10 am tomorrow (Wednesday) to midnight on Friday it is forecast to stay above freezing. Highs for three days in a row in the upper 40s or higher, with Thursday 54°F. RIP snow cover?

GFS is showing continued cold next, NWS is showing only slightly below average temperatures for the start of next week and Wunderground and weather.com 10-day mild to increasingly warm temperatures mid-week. What's with the disagreement?

That can happen in spring when there is cloud from the North Sea on an easterly. Heathrow could be at 20-25c, while places on the estuary will be struggling at 10-15c under low cloud/fog.

I didn't realize that. How far apart is Heathrow from the estuary?

Today's graphic depicts the cooling influence of Lake Michigan in the spring. Look at the average "first" dates between Midway airport and the lake front. Midway is about 9 miles away from the lake.

Late season chill doesn

Oh yeah it also show that most of the next 16 days will be below normal..... Geez what else is new?

I'll be in the very dark red patch on Saturday where the high is expected to be 96F/36C

I'll be sitting at the pool, drinking, and grilling from morning until night all next week

Is snow over for the Midwest and East? Umm not likely.

Weather underground is showing a high of 58°F next Wednesday. I wonder where they're getting that from.

Heathrow to Southend is about 60mi/100km. The temperature even a few miles inland will be much warmer.

You're the 2nd person to point out next week 50s to me. LOL I think that's too high and maybe 50s only for couple hours, but then again, it is 7 days away so its possible. I keep forgetting its going to be April and easier to hit 50s.

I also think it's time to stop looking at the GFS. God that's such a garbage model. Euro shows 50s Wednesday so WU probably weighing in on the Euro more. GFS shows 40s.

Euro even has 50s on Monday & Tuesday. LOL

I think we're slowly coming out of the hole. I think I'm done here with snowfall of 1"+. Maybe even done with 30s as the max after this weekend.

-------------------------

This post should be fun to come back to.

Euro on left, GFS on right for max temps Wednesday April 1st afternoon.

So will it be 30s in Vermont or upper 40s?
How about in Quebec? 20s or 40s!??
Pittsburgh, 70 or low 60s?
