Yup.. So basically Bridgeport and Islip hasn't waited this long to hit 60°F since 1984. Normal is March 8th 1983 had to wait to April 22 so it wont be a record for BDR after tomorrow.

Not only haven't hit 60° yet......... but haven't had 4 days in a row above normal since beginning of January.

Shown here are the actual OBS's for BDR. Pink highlight is above normal under the Actual Max and Min Temps. Notice above normal temps came in 1-2 day intervals only.

Last 6 days below normal and

Update:

Max temps of the year so far. Bridgeport & Islip no 60s yet. Even Bangor Maine & central Manitoba Canada hit 60° already

No swimming this year in New England?

Uh-oh. 8am and my PWS is already at 55F. Official airport reported 50F, 40 mins ago, but rapidly rising.

Islip is forecasted to hit 60F today, I wouldn't be surprised if they went a bit beyond it. I'm forecasted to reach 60F as well, and I'm already at 56F. Seems likely that I'll match or surpass my highest temp for the year (63F) so far.

I'm already at 59F. I wouldn't be surprised if we hit 67 or even 70F today.

Highly doubt that. Sun doing the dirty work today. It's below freezing at 4000 feet right now and with NorthWest winds, it's going to be hard for surface to warm any more than forecasted.

Isn't it funny how we had extremely warm 850mb temps the other day (15C) and it was cloudy with winds off the cold waters. Had the setup been right there would of been widespread 70s in the Northeast those days.

===============
Right now a strong 984mb storm in Eastern Canada, a 1026mb High Pressure south of Chicago. Mountains below freezing. Northwest Winds in Northeast. Beautiful Spring day here! Sunny 52°F

Make mental note The digging cold air aloft is getting weaker and weaker. Harder to push down south now. Just not that frigid up there anymore.. The Freezing line at 4500' is only near D.C and off the NY coast today. I'm not sure we'll see this again. Maybe pockets of it.
