Here is London's forecast. Not too different with a couple of days warmer than us this week, but over the next 10 days the forecast average high is slightly higher in Chicago

The weather channel has this for MDW

and for my suburb

And we hit 75F/24C in March already

Average high for April 12th is 15C so we passed London average highs about a week ago.

and so far this April Chicago's average max at MDW is 17.5C and London's 15.2C

London is still warmer than Chicago in March. We average only 8.7C for the month, but we can see extreme swings in temps. Like last year it dipped to -18C, and in 2012 it reached 31C

I always was impressed with the stability London can see in April. They may not get many days in the mid to upper 20's but can see long strings of 18-20C. We on the other hand see dramatic swings in temps, and it really doesn't start to stabilize until mid May.

1PM across the metropolitan area. It's 19C at ORD and 20C at MDW. Here in the far south suburbs it's 21C

Current 5pm temps. First 70°F of the year for Windsor Locks, Hartford, Westfield. Looks like a Hot Pocket in the northern CT Valley. Nobody else north of Latitude 39.60N is at 70+ but many are close.

I'm at 68! Warmest of the year. And yes, I'm in shorts outside.
