That's nice to know... if you're referring to weather, I don't see what's so enviable about freezing rain. I'd understand this remark if we were all getting snow.
Roads are a mess across the state. What are all these people doing out on a Sunday morning? I'm sure many of them didn't need to be out on the roads. Thank goodness it isn't a weekday.

It could still be. Air temperature is usually measured at 2 m, ground temperature can be colder. It was much colder earlier, so the ground probably will take some time to warm up.
So Mt. Greylock is getting rain not snow from this, going by 850 mb temperatures. So if I want to go hiking in the snow, not much will be left that's decent after the precipitation is over. This is an interesting site I found:
