If KISP actually drops to 4F, it may result in some of the lowest wind chill values ever recorded there. I'm talking -20 to -15F. Probably the lowest since 2004.

I wonder if NWS lowered it that much because they realize snow will be on the ground now.

Current wind chills and radar. DC & suburbs getting some heavy snow right now. Nothing here yet. I just love when its snowing south of me and not over me. lol

Not often we see it snowing with temps around 10°F couple thousand feet up and teens/20s at surface in the Mid Atlantic states. Fluff Stuff.

Freezing line at 850mb in TN/NC. -20C over northern New England. -11C over Baltimore and snowing

It's bitterly cold here. Perhaps the coldest air of the winter.

It was -24.5C when I got up this morning and my thermometer registered -26C as the low. They had only forecast -21C as a low. These are around -15F for our American friends.

It is supposed to warm up to -11C this afternoon.

Wow. These areas were lowered too for Thursday morning. Now with snow on the ground I wonder if they factored that in.
