I think nei mentioned this once... The dewpoints usually follow the low of the day moreso in the summer than winter.
So I did a quick comparison of this years minimum temps & Max Dewpoints at BDR. It does seem to be getting closer & tighter with the match. I should do last years summer numbers.
The thing is, with dewpoints there is a noticeable difference of 55° and 60° so using a low temp to judge what the day will be Im not a fan of. A general idea I guess ok but not to forecast the dewpoint of the day.
Accuweather shows such an anemic, and dissaponting 50 to 70 day weather forecast in Nice France. Too cloudy for a Mediterranean climate this year in forecast, and unbeliveble anemic temperatures some sweater weather days in June, July....
which I'd like to reply to:
1) Accuweather is not a reliable forecast source for here
2) 50 to 70 day...really?
3) Even then, it shows highs above 24°C and sunshine for a vast majority of days in June: Nice June Weather 2014 - AccuWeather Forecast for Maritime Alps France and sunshine every day in July: Nice Month Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for Maritime Alps France
4) 18/24°C is a sweater day and unbelievably anemic...? And that's among the coolest in the forecast, others are mostly 25°C+
5) I don't think there has ever been a summer month with an average high below 25°C here, so even a 19/25°C would be record cool territory (which is forecast nowhere). Summer averages are 18/25°C (June), 20/27°C (July), 21/28°C (August)
6) No summer month has recorded less than 9-10/hours a day, and our average July sunshine is above 330 hours (above 300 for June and August)
GFS00z has a system come from the gulf, head up the coastal plain and merge with an Ohio Valley storm June 7-10.
So it continues to show a lot of precip for southeast after June 3rd. (since last week!) See image below.
This is its 72hr precip projection.. You can see the 2 storms with this too.
This is NOT good news.
