GFS00z has a system come from the gulf, head up the coastal plain and merge with an Ohio Valley storm June 7-10.

So it continues to show a lot of precip for southeast after June 3rd. (since last week!) See image below.

This is its 72hr precip projection.. You can see the 2 storms with this too.

Back in the "humid" east now , so what's the story now. I saw a couple convection storms south of Kansas city on today's flight to Philly, and spotted snj's neighborhood .

69 F and sunny going down to 47 F overnight .

Perfect weather lately, highs in low 70s F, tons of sunshine, no humidity, like SoCal coast
I could take a whole summer like this

Me too. I had forgotten I liked Spring. Wow!! 70s and dry. No mugginess at all! By now I would be miserable unable to enjoy the outdoors.

Dropping to mid 40s tonight. Another cherry on the dry cake.

Bright sunshine and low dew points as well as organized winds from the south and west limited lake cooling allow temps to hit 89 degrees in Chicago today

MDW has had two 89 degree days and two 90+ degree days this May

Forecast of 91 degrees for the first day of meteorological summer
