I think that the East will have trouble getting some multiple day heat waves. Like 4-6 day ones. 1-3 days of 90s will come especially south of NYC but wild swings in my opinion rather then persistant heat from Lakes to Southeast. Flip flops. Similar to May.

It should be a nice summer based on my preferences. If the entire pattern continues many folks will be complaining come fall in the Northeast.
Heat wave or no heat wave I want consistently high humidity and reliable rainfall. Today's conditions combined with July temperatures would be brilliant. I wonder what the longest stretch of 70+ dew points is for central Kentucky.

GFS says 80s are back into CT and MA Wednesday. Euro says they stay West of the Apps.

Looks like Euro is slower with the front and storm in Canada.

Either way expecting a couple warm days next week after a cool start to weekend.

Cooled down from a high of 89 to 75 within minutes after sunset. Enjoying the refreshing balcony breeze now. I love California weather .

Yeah but it'll get too cold at night with that cooling rate.

Interesting that vapor trails are visible during summer weather. They aren't visible here during the 5-6 months here, and I wouldn't have expected to see them during a Sacramento summer.

Awesome shots!! Nice valley view to have there. Sometimes I wish we had those far stretched views here. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Meanwhile back east here are the current temps.. I dipped into the 40s again. (49F)

Yup... then slowly shift east.. My dewpoints won't rise until about Tuesday.

The stratosphere is still warm which will mean a cool east and continued backdoor cold fronts going forward and ups and downs.

Euro00z says you'll still have tropical dewpoints on Monday. I might have to update my Chicago vs Bridgeport graph. Are you trying to beat us with higher temps and dewpoints this Spring/Summer?
