Awesome stuff. Wonder if there was any frost damage in that spot...lol. I see Houghton had a hard time getting below 50, however - amazing temp difference over a small area.

No respite from the crappy forecast weather for here. Autumn has come early

Tempted to relocate before winter comes.. by the end of September I start to get depressed about the weather that will come

Couldn't ask for better coverage than this. Also Melbourne area is severe warned.

The storms are expected to be a lot more isolated when I get there in a few days and it's killing me to be missing this. Stalled front is the best summer setup in Florida.

Yup. it was only 30 degrees C in Prince George, 32C in Tatlayoko, and 34C in Lillooet. brrr.

34mm in Kamloops so far this month. It seems like the thunderstorms only hit Kamloops since many places haven't even had a trace yet. Change is coming with cool wet weather on the way.

If I were a betting man I would say that autumn is going to take September hostage. Thankfully we are returning to the normal summer time highs for the next few days -- which will probably be the last days that it gets in to the mid-upper ninetys for the rest of summer. I think in SW MO we may have a chance of our first frost before October.

Current temps Mid August, Mid Afternoon! Departures Top right and the lovely Upper Level Low bottom right with the 850mb temps (cold pool aloft)

Many spots I checked didn't get as low as we did last year between August 1 and August 15.
