GFS showing some nice warm temps starting to show up. Euro shows the warmup but only to around 75F for us on 9 May. I'll take it after months of below normal temps.

It was awful. I slept in the basement the first part of the night with a fan blowing on me. Around 2:30 I went back up to my room to sleep (with the fan) where I had left the windows open. It's usually just before I go to bed that I can't tolerate any hint of warmth... after sleeping a little while my body's temperature preferences usually shift considerably and I'm able to tolerate somewhat warmer temperatures for sleeping.

Tonight and the next few nights should be better, at least.

I guess I should put up my window AC before next weekend... so this weekend it is.

Interesting. I thought it sufficiently cooled off last night. It was around 60 F/16 C by 9PM (before bed) and dropped down to 50 F/10 C.

I don't put my A/C in until late May usually, unless we get a heatwave earlier in the month. I hope we have a nice May and June where it's not needed. An average June with tolerable humidity often warrants leaving it off. My favorite June in recent memory was 2012. I would happily take a repeat of that.

You live in Sussex county, and I live down in Somerset. There is a difference when it comes to cooling down.

It was in the 60s down there yesterday evening as well. Yes, slightly warmer but cooler than, say, a typical summer night. Low was about the same in both places.

won't be long before I move over to the summer thread. even though we are already experiencing borderline summer temps on a consistent basis now. I will wait until rainy season starts which is the confirmation of summer. Right now it's 88f(31c) with a dew point of 68f(20c) creating a heat index of 92f(33c). here is a live look at miami.

Lovely spring day. 64 F/18 C with mix of sun and clouds and a refreshing breeze. If only this were our summer.

I believe the threads are based on months not temps. This way we don't have back and forth. Technically we can have folks post in the winter thread if that's the case. Maybe a Mod can confirm or it's implied by the thread title. Would be nice to see your posts in here to know Spring was hot there or vise versa.

Latest GFS Data for here. Looks like mostly seasonable weather coming up. 60s/40sF

Looks like a warm period after the 8th. The lows look well above normal in red box, Highs look well above on Friday-Saturday. Pressure drops sub 1000mb so maybe storm nearby. Some rain chances as well. Looks Cloudy and Rainy from 9th to 16th.

This is the only thing I looked at today. No maps. Basing things off this raw data.

Here we go.... Next week Jet Stream Buckles North, Ridge Builds guess where... Central U.S. Mini Trough stays in Northeast keeping things in check (seasonable with warm/cool battles)

This is my Summer thought to a T.
I'd rather be wrong than flip flop and I've been saying this for about 4 weeks now.
