warm and sunny again today. Just hit 88ºF / 31C in the city however here at Berwick it's only around 80ºF / 26C, making us the coolest place in Melboure (when it's usually the opposite - Berwick is one of the hottest suburbs of Melbourne) Quite humid too.

Ha, deep freeze? This won't be near the coldest blast of the year for us. We were in the 30's this afternoon, in fact...I wore shorts outside to get the mail.

Sometime in the next couple months we'll have 4 or 5 days straight below freezing and a day or two without hitting 20. Also 4 or 5 days in a row with lows in the single digits and the coldest about 3 or 4. That's usually how it goes each year.

Mid-upper 20s at night is about as cold as it gets here in SA... at least with my experience. But, we often warm back up into the 50s and 60s the same afternoon (normally for us to get that cold we have absolutely no moisture in the air).

There may be a day or two a year where we don't get out of the 30's.

Still very cold in Eastern Kansas.
We still have snow on the ground from two weeks ago - unusual for our neck of the woods. The temperature at nine a.m. yesterday morning read 9 degrees at a local bank. With our typical Kansas winds, that makes for a pretty chilly wind-chill factor.

Dropping a bit here. Supposed to get to +6 today. Has to get a move on if it is going to make it.

BlueGrass, it's kind of funny cause right now we northerners don't have it too much colder then way down south. I'm sure some of them are enjoying this unusually chilly weather, but I personally don't like those terrible dips in temps. I believe it was just 85 degrees in central Fla. a few days ago and this is just such a drop.

Nameless, I knew that OK did get temps below freezing since I've watched their weather for three years now. But I'm surprised that your area in Tx. gets several below freezing days.

We are having a warmup and if those 21 mph wind gusts would stop, it'd be very tolerable. It is 21 degrees/windchill 6.
