What I meant was do you get semi-distinct "mini-seasons" in summer like we do?

Example:

Early Summer:

- the odd freak morning down to 40 F (4 C) isn't too weird
- the odd day or two between 52-59 F (11-15 C) is not weird
- periods consistantly at or above 75 F (24 C) often last between a few days to a few weeks before interruption of
cooler days back into the 60's F (16-20 C)
-basically, the hottest and coldest weather of summer can be experienced then.

Mid-Summer:

-odd freak mornings stay at least in the high 40's (8-10 C), or they break records
-odd day or two between 60-65 F (16-18 C) isn't too weird
-periods at or above 75 F (24 C) typically last weeks before cooler periods
-hottest weather can be experienced

Late-Summer:

-odd freak mornings can now hit 40 F (4 C) again
-periods consistantly above 75 F (24 C) can be rare, typically lasting less than a full week
-usually neither the hottest nor the coldest summer records will be hit

When I got up, 5 degrees. Clear sky's. Tomorrow it's supposed to start snowing so it looks like we'll have a wonderful white Christmas.

Time to hit the egg nog with heavy nog. haha

It was a beautiful 13 degrees here this morning~windchill was -2. There was a bit of snow and black ice east of here and there were a lot of vehicles that slipped into the ditch last night and this morning. That would be from about Sioux Falls going into Mn. They also said that from Kadoka out to Rapid City was not a good spot to be this morning either.

37 F and raining like no tomorrow. In December - rain! Been a few years sense I saw that I must admit. Not normal for up here in Northern Maine. My boys were worried that it would melt the snow and have a green Christmas. I assured them that it could rain all the way until Christmas and there will still be snow on the ground. Still about 28" on the level out there.

Wouldn't that snow basically be like ice though? After all the rain and refreezing.
