Mexico. Monterey, CA is cold all year round with lots of fog and clouds. However, after checking the temperature, it's only 2* colder than here right now. But summers are a different story.

I'm in Monterrey, Mexico. I love this town... if I ever become an expatriate, this would be one of the places I settle.

Would that be Monterry Mexico, or California?

Of course "chillier" is a word!
I hear it all the time on the TV weather forecasts.
You've never heard of that word?!?...

I didn't know why he was going to Monterrey.
It could have been on business, or family/friends, not just vacation.

Also Monterrey is not "cold year-round" by Canadian standards, that would mean year round snow, or at least year-round highs under 50 F. Canadian climatologists would call it either year-round "mild" or year-round "cool."

lol, of course i've heard the word chiilier before, just didn't think it was a "real" word, montre is a bit chilly in the summer with lows often in the 40s, i went there in late august and it was chilly, i will agree it's definitely not "cold year around" their january averages are 51/42 so i would say they are "mild" in the winter and "chilly" in the summer.

Right now it is 25 F and snowing. According to NOAA the readings taken at 4:00 PM every day: we have had 32.8" of snow in March so far and the season snowfall is 178.3" the record is 181.1" so with the snow we have had after 4:00 PM today I have no doubt we have already broken that number. We are supposed to get 12 - 18" overnight with winds 25 -35 MPH and gusting up to 45 MPH. It should be an interesting day tomorrow, I already canceled the jobs that were scheduled.

Just heard the weather on Mt. Washington. 10*F with winds of 101 MPH and gusting to 119 MPH. Can you imagine 100 MPH winds with gusts close to 120 MPH. Makes me glad to just be getting winds around 30. That is just wrong.

Mount Washington, NH is the self proclaimed as having "the worst weather in the world." The reason it is so cold and windy there is due to their elevation and latitude. The summit is high enough to tap into the Jet Stream, and they're pretty far from the equator.

That's just not for me http://bestsmileys.com/cold/4.gif (broken link)

as much as i like wind and cold, it would suck to have 120 MPH winds at a 10F, the windchill must like -30 or something, i prefer cold with winds LESS than 40 mph.
