1. NYC - too mild nights and too sunny
2. Moscow - too chilly and gloomy
3. Dallas - too warm and sunny; 100°F is inappropriate for mid-fall, even as a record high
All three have sufficient rainfall totals, though I'd like it wetter than Moscow. NYC is an easy winner despite the flaws mentioned above.
I love sweatshirt weather, but Moscow is way too gloomy. Dallas is out because it isn't cool enough. So I have to go with NYC. It has cool temps and a good amount of sunshine.
Moscow looks nice NYC is mild at night (the average low in Oct here in Tallahassee is 56 F, it's pathetic that NYC is only 6 F colder) and Dallas' October looks more like a nice July.
