Dallas had a huge lead but NYC is really catching up in the poll right now

Well, my friend in Moscow is talking about chances of snow already this weekend and I'm traveling to NYC in Nov to get out of Dallas so I'm going to have to say New York City. Dallas is nice temp wise but there's a real lack of Fall color.

New York is the best of those options but I would like autumn to be like New England so cooler with more frost and better leaf colour.

All three have sufficient rainfall totals, though I'd like it wetter than Moscow. NYC is an easy winner despite the flaws mentioned above.

I've spent Octobers in NYC. It feels and looks as Autumn should. I've been to Moscow in the Fall, but it felt like Winter.

I worked in the Dallas - Fort Worth area during and after college. It was almost always unbearably hot. Autumn is a distinct season and I didn't feel it there at all.
I don't ever want to be anyplace that can reach 100 degrees.

New York, out of the cities mentioned is the only place that actually has an Autumn. Why either other city was even mentioned, is a mystery.

I could see NYC, Boston or Chicago. Or any three "four season" place. Why would anyone bring up Sunbelt cities and the month of October?

because not everyone has the same idea of perfect autumn like you do? for many 25c is great in October, there is life outside 4 season climates too.

Moscow--best temperatures, small diurnal range and too gloomy
NYC--I'd like it colder in october (would be better as September), good sunshine and precipitation.
Dallas--good summer month but far too warm for fall.

Moscow temperatures with NYC precipitation and sunshine. voted NYC.

Pretty surprising this poll flipped and now NYC is winning. I think many of the votes for Dallas came from N. Europe earlier in the day.
