Forecast for Edmonton. Could be worse I guess, but I'm really sick of winter to be honest.

Gfs has been consistently predicting -9c for here on Sunday night.

Dunno if it is being jerky or its true hopefully because our lowest temp so far is -3c.

Wow, that has been a mild winter. Even last winter here, which was a mild one, got colder than that.

You don't have to tell me at all. I've been aware of that for many years. Even so, -3C is very mild.

Maybe, but proper winter conditions aren't hard to find around here -deep snow,, below freezing maximums , frozen lakes etc, are easy to get to. In fact, more than half of this region has winter snow cover, an area bigger than NI.

I will definitely get some photos this winter, after the lame effort of last winter.

Well this has been a "lame" winter.

We've only had 2 days of lying snow and 14 days of snow falling. Daffodils, roses, trees budding and cherry blossoms have all appeared lately.

The winter is not a winter. I am awaiting summer with joy.

And you may see snow but it ain't at sea level and it ain't proper winter conditions.

Think about something..

Here's NYC Top 11 snowiest years since 1869

75.6 1995-96
63.2 1947-48
61.9 2010-11
60.4 1922-23
60.3 1872-73
57.8 1874-75
57.3 2013-14
55.9 1898-99
54.7 1960-61
53.4 1993-94
53.2 1906-07

They need just 6" to be 2nd snowiest on record.

Look at it another way...

if they get another 3.2" nobody that is 67 years old or older has seen this much snow fall in NYC. Meaning, this much snow never even fell 70-145 years ago
