Amazing, what I consider moderately humid is a notable event there. Do you ever remember it exceeding 20C?

A look at the current Large Upper Level low & the dewpoints.

While browns are comfy dews, the blues are sneaking in(40s) . Did I mention I LOVE this type of setup/flow?

See the negative tilted trough? (angled Northwest to SouthEast)

I didn't personally experience it, but it did hit 21°C in June 1999. That was obviously very exceptional, as were the high dew points this year and during the heatwave last year. Most years the maximum dew point is either 17°C or 18°C, and that only happens on a handful of days. Most days in the summer have a max dew point between 10°C and 15°C.

So yeah, it's not very humid (though not particularly dry either) and even the most humid days are fairly mild compared to the eastern half of the continent. During heatwaves it can definitely feel muggy but many of those 18°C dew point days we've had this year have been combined with temperatures in the low to mid 20s Celsius, so not particularly hot. That 19.8°C dew point I mentioned in the post you quoted happened on a 23°C day.

Here are the 8pm dewpoints across the U.S. The blues are in now.. 40s down to PA/West Virginia

Those 60s down south are actually below normal. Florida just normal.

That's true with Vancouver's temperatures you really wouldn't need dewpoints above 20C.

Weather Network Station is saying a temperature of 32C with 61% humidity.

That would equate to 24C dewpoint since weather network doesn't display dewpoint on the site.
