B.

The winter snow is too low given the temperatures. Also, I don't like that April is the snowiest month.

Looks a lot like... home.

There are some differences which do make it slightly more favorable though. Its summer is sunnier, winter is snowier (based on snowfall days) and the shoulder seasons are shorter. I also kind of like those intense winter lows.

But this does come with a downside of lost sun. So all in all I'll give it the same rating as NYC, a B-

I give C. Winters are little warmer than I like, summers are too hot, precipitation is good.

B. A really good climate. Would prefer if it was slightly colder.

January is the snowiest month. April is the rainiest month, along with December. I think you misread lol.

The eastern us is the only place in the world that can manage -40 F anomalies in winter. That would never happen in Europe!

C+ from me. Too warm most of the year, pretty lame winter averages.

Upstate NY is much milder than Ottawa, but I can relate to that. It's fine for a one-week visit, but spending upwards of five months in that sort of weather (November to sometime in April/May) is emotionally taxing

I'll give it a B.
2100h instead of NYC's ~2300h isn't that significant. I'll give it a B- anyway.
