Rome, mainly for the sunshine hours
Berlin has nice temps but its too damn dark in the winter and autumn, too dark for too long must be depressing
Rome summers are way too hot but rest of the year looks wonderful, specially winter, and summer lows seem nice enogh to caost through it. I was in Rome in september and the weather there was wonderful!!! As opposed to Sorrento (souther italy) wich was very hot and humid for a week.
If berlin had better sunshine patterns i would definetely vote it, since temps are much better
Rome, it has a nicer balance between winter/summer and sunshine hours are close to ideal for me. The warmer season in Berlin is too cool and short and sunshine hours are below par.
Rome is one of my fav climates. Choose it by a mile over the relatively cold and gloomy Berlin.
Anyone know what the lowest temp reached in Rome each winter? I mean the lowest single temp reached, not the average low. I'm wondering what growing zone it would be in.

In this winter was -2.0ºC several days. (Rome Ciampino)
