Rome. Summers are slightly too hot and too dry, but the rest is pretty good.

Rome for me. Just much nicer except it could be wetter during summer.

Nearly the same latitude here, so not much difference in sun angle etc.

Rome.

Temperature-wise, Berlin winters are about the same as NYC's. However they are quite a bit gloomier and darker.

^^^ See, there aren't only cold lovers on here.

I shall balance things a bit and vote for Berlin. I want my winters. And while Rome doesn't get proper cold, Berlin can get hot at times.

This website says -3.8°C/25.2°F for 1981-2010, would be on the cooler end of zone 9b. But I don't know where's this data from, probably from Ciampino?

Why are you so dislike Berlin's climate? It isn't extreme hot or cold (Rome's summers are too hot, not only for me). Yes, Berlin is cloudier, but it isn't extreme cloudy, and sunshine, in my opinion, can't be as serious criterion as temperatures.

Exactly, that's YOUR opinion. Berlin is too much like the UK, no thanks. Rome it is!
