Which climate of these three "Georgian" communities would you prefer?
Atlanta, Georgia

Tbilisi, Georgia

Grytviken, South Georgia

Aw, I wish you'd used Batumi!
In this case, Atlanta. But still, in Georgia, I prefer Savannah... on a number of levels.

1931-1960 Grytviken Averages from danish met agency, not that it matters, i doubt poor Grytviken will get any votes.
www.dmi.dk/dmi/tr01-17.pdf (page 242)
Average Rain: 1395mm
Average Sun: 1282hrs
I believe the actual absolute high at Grytviken is 29c/84f. It was posted on another weather forum but dissapeared.

I wanted to get a cross section of climates... that's why I didn't choose either Savannah or Batumi but the thought crossed my mind

I want to like Tbilisi for the relative dryness but the sunshine hours are disappointing. So Atlanta's sunnyness clinches it for me.

Although none of them are really satisfactory, I'd go with Grytviken by far, due to it having the coolest summers and coldest winters of the bunch.

Tough choice. If Tbilisi had cooler summers, I would give it more consideration. But Grytviken it is.

Tbilisi, which is quite similar to Washington, DC temperature-wise, for best seasonal balance. South Georgia, with hardly any summer to speak of, would be far too depressing.
