LATE AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING ACROSS THE REGION. SNOW WILL
FALL HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. 1 TO 2 INCH PER HOUR
SNOWFALL RATES ARE POSSIBLE AT TIMES SATURDAY NIGHT.
Though the local rather than regional forecast predicts only 5-9 inches of snow.
It snowed for the first time in Duluth, MN yesterday (October 27th). That's about right on schedule. Of course, it was only there for about 15 minutes, and then the sun quickly melted it.
As of now, almost all leaves have fallen above the hill (the trees have been bare for at least 10, maybe 15 days). Below and on the lower portions of the hill, though, most of the trees still have leaves and most likely will until early or mid-November.
