Well it clearly wasn't obvious from all those that thought it meant sub 0C
Anyway it is a thread several years old & neither fahrenheit or celcius sub-zero's have ever happened here, I was just pointing out why it was confusing
Summit Camp, Greenland recorded -33.0 C (-27.4 F) on July 4th this year, which is the lowest temperature ever recorded in July in the Northern Hemisphere. I hope that the July low for GeoSummit, Greenland (another station at Summit Camp, which usually records lower temps) will be published soon, so this record may be lower.
Finally the data came out for GeoSummit: -34.3 C (-29.7 F) is the new record low for the Northern Hemisphere in July.
Never here. Lowest ever was 5F. So yeah we normally don't get there at all. Lowest I remember was like 16F or so about 6 to 7 years ago.
Fun fact: Tallahassee, Florida has a record low of -2! Even Florida has recorded below zero! Hawaii is the only state that hasn't.
