At Heathrow Airport in the western suburbs, frost is recorded on about 25 days per year. In Central London, this occurs on fewer than 10 days per year.

Ice days (when the high is 0C or below), occur on average once per year at Heathrow Airport, and do not happen in Central London.

April, since I can remember.

Grandpa told me that sometimes frost happened (in earlier decades) even in May.

A sub-freezing temperature has been officially recorded in all months except for July with a minimum of 0,5°C.

Never get them here. The lowest I've recorded in 12 years has been -11.6C and I doubt it's ever gotten colder than -15/-16C.

The airport has recorded a few readings of -18C to -20C but is more of a frost hollow, particularly prior to the 1970s.
