In other posts he states that because he went to a store in far southeast or trinidad., bought a pack of mints and then got back in his car and drove away without being assaulted, killed, that makes the area safe.

Your comprehension skills are lacking, because nowhere in his post does he indicate that his experience "makes the area safe", as you stated. He was responding to claims that merely setting foot in some of DC's rougher neighborhoods is sufficient to get one maimed or killed.
But understanding that would require an understanding of "nuance," which is not something you are exhibiting on this forum.
Your hall monitor routine is boring. You seem to gang up on other people here, sometimes driving away posters like Tech2Enable. My posts are very nuanced, but would you ever admit there are crime and other problems in DC? Or is it all about boosting property values.
Why would I want property values to increase? I don't own any and am almost entirely priced out of even renting in DC. Yet, when you repeatedly spread lies, you need to repeatedly be called out on them.
As others have tried to drill into your head - when has ANYONE said crime doesn't exist in DC? You seem to think that any crime means a neighborhood is unpassable.
I've been honest all through about the relative danger / safety of places. I'd never suggest someone rent a place in Trinidad or over the river without knowing it very well.
The neighborhoods discussed here have no reason to drive people away. They are good ones to at least consider. Distorting reality to tell a fantasy story about this city is wrong - and the only people who do it are those who don't live here.

Yeah, Bluefly has always reminded me of a hall monitor. Just sayin'... now carry on...
Oh lord, here we go again. Back up to who? You ignored anything and everything I give to you.
You accused a specific group of specific crimes and offered no proof. Wouldn't hold up in a court of law. Anyway - let's not go there and derail this stellar thread. Bygones be bygones and such. You and I have agreed on a lot more than not lately. That counts for something.
