This is terrible news. Teach for America is a scam. Most of the recruits leave teaching after their second year in the classroom. They are not education majors. The recruits have a few weeks of training before they are most often placed in an under performing school. Those students need well trained and experienced teachers.

I couldn't agree more....I'm of the opinion that if they really wanted to pursue this new bill they should have done so last year. Similar to what was done with bidders in MA. That's when they would have had the most leverage.

I'd go back further even before the vote and perhaps before Cesars and Maryland Live! won their bids. It was only a matter of time before PG would be in on the game. But no one has enough foresight.

A friend and I were just talking about the same thing. PGC is very reactive instead of proactive when it comes to development etc.

MGM has been rescheduled to be heard by the board. Their new date is 5/1/2014. Also, Walmart's DSP is going to be heard on 5/8/2014.

Well remember they had to quash the suit brought by parent group at the nearby elementary school. They also had to reconfigure the plan to have parking spaces to the back of the development instead of being next to OHR.

I remember. I think all of that was incredibly stupid, but I'm glad they are making progress.
